Presenting: RPD Showcase Home – We were recently able to help new homeowners that loved the area they choose to live but knew that their home needed updating and improvements before it could become their “dream home.” After hearing positive reviews of our company from friends and neighbors, they choose Renovate Paint and Design to help make this happen.
Phase 1: Update floors and walls
The flooring throughout the living spaces (master bedroom, stairs, living room, dining rooms, and kitchen) were finished out with new flooring: beautiful engineered hardwood, hand scraped, and having a locking system. A fresh coat of durable paint was applied throughout these areas enhancing the newness of their home.
Phase 2: The New Look in the Bathrooms
The Master Bathroom was transformed with carefully selected granite countertops, ceramic tile (with the appearance of Travertine style) flooring and tub/shower surround, and seamless glass which transformed a plain bathroom into a welcome retreat. There were some “opportunities” with plumbing and carpentry which RPD professionally resolved. One of the best features is the granite countertop. This natural stone comes in many gorgeous shades and patterns. Adding complimentary ceramic or natural stone-tile, such as Travertine, brings the whole room together.
The two additional full bathrooms were also altered in several ways. First, wallpaper was removed in one while both received updated paint colors. Plus, both had their countertops replaced, new sink with fixtures installed and floor laminate replaced with ceramic tile.
Phase 3: A Face Lift for the Fireplace / Living Area
The fireplace in this home was nondescript painted brick without a hearth. While the customer had a vision of giving the fireplace a face lift, we were able to take his concept and bring it to life. RPD constructed a hearth and applied a stacked stone veneer on the exterior of the old painted brick. For the finishing touch we capped the hearth with a flagstone. While in the living room area, RPD also enclosed a “pony-wall” which previously was used as a planter. Having this topped-off by creating a shelf allows this area to better maintained and adds additional décor possibilities. The combination of the flooring, new colors on the walls and new fireplace face lift brought inviting warmth to this living space.
Phase 4: Entertainment on the Exterior
Renovate Paint and Design is often given the opportunity to
improve or add-on to exteriors thereby increasing the space for entertainment and family enjoyment. Covered, closed-in patios, and/or decking are a few of the improvements we can create.
In this case, the back decks were constructed out of 2X8 floor
joists with hurricane hangers that support the treated deck
floorings. Solidly built, it’s strong enough to, potentially, hold an elephant and durable enough to last for years. The handrails
and steps add to the overall appeal and safety. This is a great
way to add value to your home and provides a great excuse
for the avid Barbeque cook.

We all love to see them: those big home renovations.
We get inspired and start to imagine what our homes might look like if the countertops were different, bathrooms more luxurious, a bigger deck in our backyard or our kitchens being an inviting place of family/friend gatherings of delicious meals. Whether you’re interested in simply updating the colors and/or freshness of the walls with a new coat of paint, or ready to take on larger transformations, Renovate Paint and Design can take your visualization of what could be and make it into reality. You can view our “Showcase Home” project below which is another example of a dream remodeling job that we made come true. Contact me, firstname.lastname@example.org, if you want to discuss your project and/or schedule an estimate. Of course, you can always call me at 210-863-5695.
On the other hand, maybe your home dreams are not of renovations, but relocation. Have you outgrown your current living space? Perhaps you are even looking at downsizing or changing location? It is for this purpose that I saw the need to add “Realtor” to my capabilities. Yes, there are many realtors in the housing market, but I bring something rather unique: the knowledge of construction of homes, ability to approximate the cost of repairs and painting, and my signature one-on-one personal service. I apply these skills in advising my clients on what repairs might be necessary before putting their home on the market or helping them in choosing the right home when buying. Thus, the real estate transaction becomes easier with fewer concerns.
